To make Apple and Blackberry Crumble, you will need the following ingredients:
Preheat the oven to 190 °C/170 °C fan/gas 5.
In a mixing bowl, combine the plain flour and caster sugar.
Add 60g unsalted butter pieces and using your fingertips, rub together, with the flour mixture to make a light breadcrumb texture. Do not overwork the dough.
Sprinkle the crumble mixture, evenly, over a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and sugar and cook, while stirring for 3 minutes until mixture becomes light caramel.
Add the apples and cook, while stirring for a further 3 minutes.
Add the blackberries and cinnamon and cook for a last, 3 minutes more.
Remove mixture from the heat and cover the pan. Set aside for 2-3 minutes to continue cooking in the warmth of the pan.
Spoon warm fruit into an ovenproof pie dish and top with crumble sprinkled over. Bake in the heated oven for a further 5-10 minutes.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
