Bavarian Apple Tart

Recipe Description

This Bavarian Apple Tart is a super tasty take on a classic German dessert. I love to make this tasty when there are lots of apples in season. It is a great way to use up an apple harvest and a perfect way to welcome fall.

Start by making pastry and pressing it into the base of a springform tart pan. Prepare a cream cheese filling and spread evenly over the pastry base. Sprinkle apple slices with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom and toss to coat. Press the apple slices into the cream cheese mixture. Bake in the oven. Once cooked, leave to cool completely before slicing and serving.
