Cinnamon Roll Waffles

Recipe Description

These Cinnamon Roll Waffles are exactly what you will need on Christmas Day morning – they taste just like Swedish cinnamon rolls but in waffle form! Fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside and a delicious cinnamon flavor throughout. I top mine with a cream cheese glaze. To pour the glaze over the waffles, simply soften it up in the microwave for about 20 seconds before topping.

Start by mixing the dry ingredients together. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff peaks form. In a separate bowl, beat egg yolks, buttermilk, melted butter, syrup, and vanilla. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and mix in the egg yolk mixture until combined. Fold in the beaten egg whites. Spoon the batter onto a hot waffle maker and bake until golden brown. Make the cream cheese glaze by beating together butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla.
