Perfectly poached gnocchi in a creamy, garlic and shallot sauce with ham, peas and Parmesan and seasoned with salt, ground black pepper and fresh basil leaves. These ingredients are a perfect match for a cold, winter, curl up on the couch dinner!

    Cook gnocchi

    Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add about 1 tablespoons salt and 1 (16 oz) package of gnocchi. Cook until gnocchi floats to the surface then remove from water and set aside on a plate.

    In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter and add 4 oz diced ham. Cook for a few minutes until crispy then remove from skillet and set aside with gnocchi.

    In the same skillet over medium, add 3 tablespoons minced shallots, 2 thinly sliced cloves of garlic and 1 cup of heavy cream. Simmer until sauce has thickened and reduced by a third.
