To make Creamy Baked Gnocchi with Ham and Peas, you will need the following ingredients:
Preheat oven to 375 ºF.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add about 1 tablespoons salt and 1 (16 oz) package of gnocchi. Cook until gnocchi floats to the surface then remove from water and set aside on a plate.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter and add 4 oz diced ham. Cook for a few minutes until crispy then remove from skillet and set aside with gnocchi.
In the same skillet over medium, add 3 tablespoons minced shallots, 2 thinly sliced cloves of garlic and 1 cup of heavy cream. Simmer until sauce has thickened and reduced by a third.
Sprinkle 2 oz grated Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper. Stir to mix through.
Add cooked gnocchi, ham and ½ cup peas. Lower heat and simmer for 1 minute.
Transfer to a shallow baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for about 18-20 minutes until thickened.
Garnish with remaining ½ cup peas and fresh basil leaves for serving!
