The dish itself requires garlic, butter, milk, chicken or beef broth, flour, and Parmesan cheese and can be ready in the time it takes for the pasta to cook. While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a saucepan, add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Next, stir in the flour and cook for another minute. Now, stir in the milk and broth and cook until the sauce thickens. Just before the sauce is finished cooking, stir in grated Parmesan cheese and parsley flakes for additional flavor.
