This awesome Hawaiian Banana Bread has just what you crave this time of year: tropical flavors and a comforting treat that you can eat for breakfast. It is super moist, flavorful, and low on effort. With crushed pineapple, overripe bananas, and walnuts, this delicious banana bread is as good for an after-dinner dessert as it is for breakfast. If you don’t like walnuts, you can easily leave them out or swap them for your favorite nut.
Before you start the banana bread, preheat the oven and grease a loaf pan. Next, combine the dry ingredients in a medium bowl and set aside. In a large mixing bowl, mash up the bananas and stir in the eggs, oil, vanilla extract, and crushed pineapple. Then add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir together until just combined. Now, stir in the walnuts. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake until golden and the center is set. Let cool before cutting. Enjoy!
To make the Hawaiian Banana Bread, you will need the following ingredients:
Preheat the oven to 350 °F and coat a 9x5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 ½ cups flour, 1 cup granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon baking powder, and ½ teaspoon salt.
In a large bowl, combine 2 large eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, ¾ cup vegetable oil, 1 cup mashed bananas, and ⅔ cup drained crushed pineapple. Whisk to blend thoroughly.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring just until the batter is moistened.
Stir in ½ cup chopped walnuts.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If the top begins to brown, tent the bread with aluminum foil.
Let the banana bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer the loaf to a wire rack and cool for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
Slice, serve and enjoy!
