Healthy Homemade Granola requires just a handful of ingredients, quick and easy to make, and tastes delicious. It is also gluten-free and dairy-free. This simple granola is filled with wholesome ingredients, and all of them are healthy alternatives to what we can usually find in store-bought brands. Besides, store-bought granola is always expensive and not as fresh as granola you can make at home. 

I have been making my own granola from what I can remember. And it has always been one of my kids’ favorite snacks. This recipe is really easy to make. Just mix all the dry ingredients, then add wet ingredients, spread evenly onto a baking sheet and bake. This granola takes about 20-25 minutes in the oven. Don’t forget to mix once halfway through for even baking. It is so good and delicious that you might want to eat it by the handful!

Steps to make Healthy Homemade Granola

Preheat oven and prepare baking sheet

Preheat the oven to 350 °F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Combine dry ingredients

In a bowl, combine 4 cups old fashioned oats, 1 cup almond flakes, 1 cup shelled pumpkin seeds, ½ cup coconut flakes, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, and ½ teaspoon salt.

Combine wet ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together ½ cup olive oil, ½ cup honey, and ¼ cup crunchy peanut butter.

Mix dry and wet ingredients

Drizzle the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients and stir to combine and coat evenly.

Spread on baking sheet

Spread the mixture evenly on the baking sheet.

Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown, stirring once halfway through.

Add cranberries

Once baked, sprinkle over ½ cup dried cranberries.

Let cool for 15 minutes before serving or store in an airtight container for about 1 month at room temperature.
