One of my kids’ favorites, this Ice Cream Waffle Sandwich is super yummy and super easy to make! Any excuse to get my waffle maker out! Especially when I can cook the waffle from frozen, I love a recipe that makes things easier in the kitchen without losing any of the great taste. And what better filling for a waffle sandwich than creamy vanilla ice cream and sweet maple syrup.
Of course you can make this recipe your own: switch the vanilla ice cream for a scoop of chocolate flavor, and swap the maple syrup for chocolate sauce. Or what about raspberry ripple ice cream and fruity raspberry syrup? All equally delicious!
To make Ice Cream Waffle Sandwich, you will need the following ingredients:
Toast the frozen waffle on the waffle iron.
As soon as the waffle is cooked, spread the butter over the top and cut the waffle in half.
Spread the softened ice cream over one half of the waffle.
Drizzle the maple syrup over the ice cream.
Place the other half of the waffle on top to make a sandwich and serve.
