Peach Mousse

This Peach Mousse is overfilled with a gentle peach taste – no wonder: my recipe demands more than one pound of fresh fruits, so it’s beneficial to your health too! As for me, it is one of my top summer recipes. Puréed peaches keep the mousse flavorful, light and refreshing. Lightly sweetened, with the addition of whipped cream, this mousse is a real peach temptation.

What I absolutely adore about this mousse is easiness in cooking! Just follow these easy steps and make sure you use ripe, delicious and full of flavor peaches. Believe me, this is the tastiest way to say goodbye to summer!

To make this Peach Mousse, you will need the following ingredients:

Ingridiens for Peach Mousse

Steps to make Peach Mousse

1

Blend peaches and lemon juice

2

In a food processor or blender, mix 1 pound peeled and diced peaches with 2 tablespoons lemon juice and blend into purée.

2

Prepare gelatin

7

Add ¼ cup of cold water in a small pan and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon gelatin. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then whisk in ⅓ cup sugar and heat on medium until sugar has dissolved. Remove the mixture from heat and let cool for 1 minute.

3

Mix peach purée and gelatin

1h

Add slightly cooled gelatin mixture to the peach purée and blend. Cover and let chill in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.

4

Whip cream

1

In a large bowl, beat 1 cup chilled heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form for about 1 minute.

5

Combine whipped cream and peach purée

2h

Add whipped cream to chilled peach purée and mix until well combined. Divide the peach mousse between 6 serving glasses and transfer to refrigerator until set, about 2 hours.

6

Prepare peach topping

3

In a small pan, combine 1 peeled and sliced peach, 2 tablespoons sugar, and 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and boil gently for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool completely before topping the mousse.

7

Serve

Just before serving, top each glass with peach slices and fresh mint leaves, if you wish. Enjoy!
