These Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms are so delicious! They will go down a treat as an appetizer at your next party – the combination of cream cheese and sausage meat with earthy mushrooms cannot be beaten! Use the biggest mushrooms you can find for this dish!

To make this tasty dish, start by cooking sausage. Combine cream cheese with Parmesan, parsley and sage. Add the contents of the sausage pan (including the grease) and mix to combine. Place the mushrooms, top side down, in a baking dish and spoon sausage filling into the center of each mushroom. Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes, until the mushrooms are soft and the filling starts to brown. Before serving, leave the mushrooms to sit in the pan for 5-10 minutes to soak up any juices.

Heat the oven to 400 °F.

Cook sausage

Place 16 ounces of sausage meat in a medium skillet and cook until it is cooked through and browned. Use a wooden spatula to break the sausage up as it cooks. Do not drain the grease.
