Who doesn’t love the combination of bacon and cheese? This Bacon Cheese Frittata brings these two rich and decadent ingredients together with eggs and green onions to make this delicious Italian style omelet known as a frittata.
To make this cheesy frittata, start by cooking bacon until crispy. Crumble the bacon and set aside. Make the frittata mixture by whisking eggs, milk, butter, salt, and ground pepper in a bowl. Pour the egg mixture into a prepared baking dish and sprinkle with onions, bacon, and Cheddar cheese. Bake in the oven until cooked through.
To make Bacon Cheese Frittata, you will need the following ingredients:
Preheat the oven to 350 °F. Grease a 11-inch baking dish lightly.
Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes.
Drain the bacon slices on a plate lined with paper towels. Crumble the bacon into small pieces.
Whisk 6 eggs in a large bowl with 1 cup of milk, 2 tablespoons of melted butter, ½ a teaspoon of salt and ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper.
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle the crumbled bacon, ¼ cup of chopped green onions, and 1 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese over the top.
Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Serve immediately sprinkled with some extra chopped green onions.
