Preheat the oven to 375 °F. Lightly grease and flour a loaf pan.
Beat together 1 ½ cups of sugar, 1 cup of sour cream, ½ cup of butter, and 2 eggs in a large bowl until smooth and creamy.
Add mashed bananas and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract and beat well.
