Cherry Kuchen Bars
I love these Cherry Kuchen Bars which are really easy to make and taste delicious too. I cheat a little when I make these bars because I use a can of cherry pie filling. I find I can never make the pie filling as good as it tastes from the can! You can substitute cherry with any other flavor you prefer.
To make this Cherry Kuchen Bars recipe, start by preparing cake dough. Press the dough into a baking dish and bake for 12 minutes. Remove the cake from the oven and add cherry filling. Top with some of the remaining dough and return to the oven to bake for another 30 minutes. Make icing by mixing powdered sugar with vanilla or almond extract and some milk. Drizzle over the top of the cake and slice into bars.

Funky design but good taste.
Lilly always makes the best stuff cant wait to see what else you come up with!!
Huge crowd pleaser for all the sweet tooths in my family , going to be making this a lot.
Really cool idea might try to make it with blueberries or strawberries next.
Amazing! Instead of the random shapes on the top though I made them into little hearts and stars :)
Decided to swap out the normal milk with almond instead for the icing, tasted a lot better and the almond after taste blended well with the cherries.
Great dessert for under 20 bucks that will make everyones belly warm!!
WOW heaven on earth !! texture and sweetness is perfect.
Cute little strawberry bars! Loved every bite of them thx.
Turned out hard as a rock for me not sure what went wrong.
Hubby and I thought this was delish and its becoming our personal favorite that we make once everyweek
I would strongly recommend using vanilla sugar instead of vanilla extract for the icing cause if you put too much it will destroy the taste and make it taste like some kinda chemicals..
Served with some hot tea on the side as a sweet breakfast (-:
Topped mine with some chocolate frosting and caramel instead of vanilla icing
Takes a long time to make these but they are totally worth in my opinion very flavorful and last a long time.
My kids are obsessed with these, i used some graham crackers for the under crust though to make it more crunchy and sweet.
Could not for the life of me get this right all the cherries legit just exploded please help.
Love the soft/crunchy mix its my favorite type of pastry.
Never been a fan of cherries they are always too bitter or too sweet never inbetween so i replaced them with strawberries and added a few bananas on the top once the kuchen was done cooking.
Perfect treat!
