Cherry Pie Filling
I make this Cherry Pie Filling recipe when I have a lot of cherries and I keep it in my freezer to have on standby when I am craving cherry pie. Sometimes I forget about it until winter and when I remember to use the cherry pie filling in a pie, I am instantly transported to summer again! It’s like a gift to future me!
Making this homemade cherry pie filling couldn’t be easier. I start by heating red cherries in a saucepan until they are soft and the juice bursts out of them. In a separate bowl I mix together sugar and cornstarch which I add to the cherries. Once the filling thickens, I remove the saucepan from the heat and leave the mixture to cool completely before using.

Melts in your mouth can't wait to make some cherry filled cupcakes out of it.
Tasty and simple to make will be making it again for sure maybe for some type of cake.
Good but needed a lot more sugar added to it the cherries were slightly sour.
I used this filling for my cherry pie and made my own dough too.
So for some reason it tasted kinda bitter and not sweet enough for a filling.
Cherry pie filling was delicious and fun to make thanks for sharing.
This was really good I actually ate it on it's own lol.
Mine looked a lot more like a jello great taste for sure though.
Nicely made and cheap too super pleased with how this came out thankfully no issues and the cherries cooked just fine, very sweet too.
