These couldn’t be easier to make. Start by making a standard sweetened bread dough. Roll it out into a rectangle and add a butter, sugar and cinnamon filling. Roll them up and place them in a cake tin. Once they have risen, bake them in the oven. Drizzle with a coffee/vanilla flavored icing and serve with strong coffee! Yum!

Mix the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast together in a large bowl.
In a separate heat proof bowl, stir the milk, water, and butter together. Microwave or heat over the stove until the butter is melted and the mixture is warm to touch (approx 110°F).
Pour the melted butter into the bowl with the flour mixture. Add the egg. Mix until it forms a soft dough.
Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and knead for 3 minutes using floured hands. Place in a lightly greased bowl and cover loosely with a towel. Leave to rest for about 10 minutes.
Roll out the dough out into a 14×8 inch rectangle. Soften the butter and spread it on top of the dough. Mix the cinnamon and sugar together and sprinkle over the top of the dough.
Roll up the dough tightly into a log. Cut the into 10-12 even rolls and place them in a lightly greased 9-inch round cake pan or pie dish.
Cover the cake pan loosely with foil or plastic wrap and place it in a warm, draft-free environment to rise for 60-90 minutes. Leave until the dough has doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 375 °F.
Bake the rolls in the oven for 25-28 minutes until they are light brown on top and cooked through.
Mix the confectioners’ sugar, vanilla extract, and coffee (or milk) together until you have a smooth icing.
With the rolls still in the cake pan, drizzle the icing over the top.
Serve the cinnamon rolls with strong coffee as they do in Sweden!
