Layers of basic salad ingredients with Romaine lettuce then frozen peas and yellow bell peppers, grape tomatoes, celery, scallions and a yogurt-mayonnaise with vinegar, garlic powder, salt and freshly ground black pepper salad dressing poured over and finally topped with sprinkles of shredded cheese and bacon bits. To make Seven-Layered Salad, you will need the following ingredients:
In a large salad bowl, place lettuce in the bottom and layer peas, bell pepper, tomatoes, celery and scallions on top.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk yogurt, mayonnaise, vinegar, garlic powder, salt, pepper and sugar to taste, until smooth. Pour a layer of salad dressing, evenly, over the salad.
Top with sprinkles of shredded cheese, basil and crumbled bacon.
Serve room temperature or chilled from the refrigerator.
