My Favorite Gingerbread Cookies

Recipe Description

My Favorite Gingerbread Cookies are easy and fun to make. I love to make a double batch of these and get my kids to decorate them. And they love to bring them to school on the last day before holidays to share with their teachers and friends.

This is an unusual cookie recipe because the cookie dough needs time to chill. You must chill the dough for at least 3 hours but you can leave it chilling for up to 3 days which means it’s a great cookie dough to make in advance.

To make My Favorite Gingerbread Cookies, you will need the following ingredients:

I absolutely loved making these gingerbread cookies with my grandkids. The recipe is so simple and the dough chilling just made it even more fun. We baked them together and they turned out perfect. We decorated them and shared with their friends at school, and they were a huge hit. This is now our holiday tradition.

OMG! These gingerbread cookies are the bomb! My kids can't stop decorating them! Last year, they brought ‘em to school and everyone was like, 'Yum!' Seriously, they should be illegal. 😂
