I am always looking for tasty and healthy cookie treats, and after some experimenting, I managed to design this Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookie. The actual preparation and baking time is very quick and simple, just make sure to not over bake your cookies and allow sufficient time for cooling.
Luckily these cookies are so delicious because they don’t last very long so ensure you store them in a tightly shut container! These are a goodie!
To make Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, you will need the following ingredients:
Preheat the oven to 350 °F.
In a large bowl, cream together cookie batter ingredients with the butter, butter flavored shortening, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs and vanilla, until smooth.
Add the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt, and stir well.
Fold in the raisins and oats into the batter mixture.
Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of batter onto untreated baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes until light and golden brown. Do not overbake.
Let them cool for 2 minutes before removing them from the baking sheets to cool completely. Store in an airtight container and make sure you get some! They don’t stay fresh too long!
Try this Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookie for your next tasty and healthy treat! I promise, they’re addictive! Spice up your kitchen and try it yourself! Everyone loves a simple recipe. Let us know how you do and tag #cookmerecipes in your own cookie posts!
