Stuffed Cabbage
Stuffed Cabbage is a great way to up your family’s intake of this super healthy vegetable. Cabbage is packed with nutrients and is a great source of Vitamin C and Vitamin K. It can help to improve digestion and may help keep your heart healthy while lowering blood pressure too. What’s not to love?
I start by making a tomato based sauce for the stuffed cabbage. Before making the cabbage rolls, blanch the cabbage leaves in a pan of boiling water. Using a paring knife, cut away the hard triangular stem from each leaf. Make a filling from ground beef, white rice, bread crumbs, chopped onion and chopped parsley. Roll up the filling in cabbage leaves and arrange them in the baking dish and pour the remaining sauce over the top. Bake in the oven and enjoy!
To make my Stuffed Cabbage, you will need the following ingredients:
Steps to make Stuffed Cabbage

Preheat the oven to 350 °F.
2 | Make the sauce | 10 |
Pour 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet and heat over medium heat. Cook ½ a large onion for 5 minutes until soft. Add the tomato paste and garlic. Stir well and cook for a minute until fragrant. Add the can of crushed tomatoes and 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar, 1 tbsp sugar and 2 tsp of dried oregano. Mix well and reduce heat to medium-low.

Hi Bob! Thank you for paying attention to our recipe! To the right of the recipe description is the "Print" button - the "Printer" icon.
No printer friendly!
Cook it for a bit longer if you think the rice is still too hard, I didn't boil it half way cause I was too lazy, lol.
Love this recipe, even bookmarked the page for next time I decide to make another 5 star meal, very excited to try more things out.
My fiance and I both loved these cabbage rolls! We made sure to cook the rice halfway before hand too like the comments state.
I think the vegan cabbage soup is tastier and more filling actually, but since my hubby isn't a vegan I made him this and he liked it too.
I decided to add some zucchini to it and it was AWESOME, freaking amazingly tasty and juicy.
You guys..it taste sooo good omg I love it so much!!!
Thanks for another great recipe Lilly, always serving us the best meals possible!
I cooked the rice in chicken broth and used ground chicken instead of beef, tasted like heaven with every bite.
Rice was amazingly good with this but I'd recommend cooking the rice halfway first before putting it in the oven or it'll turn out to be too hard.
Takes an ultra long time to make so I'd recommending eating an appetizer before starting this or you'll starve.
Easy to make though not my personal favorite, though my entire family is obsessed with it so a total crowd pleaser for sure.
These were so tasty though I did replace two things which was the rice I changed for cauliflower and I used ground turkey instead of beef :)
It's good but falls apart almost instantly , maybe I messed up on something?..
I added some parmesan cheese to the top of the finished stuffed cabbage and it was DELICIOUS!
Double the sauce with these for sure or it'll be a little dry.
I love it! So delicious!
