There are no eggs in this Sunny-Side-Up Dessert but you wouldn’t know without tasting it. Fool your families and guests this April with our April Fool’s dessert.
Made with cake slices that look like slices of toast, buttered and toasted in a skillet until golden and crispy and topped with spoonfuls of vanilla yogurt resembling egg whites and canned apricot halves for the sunny-side yolk.
To make Sunny-Side-Up Dessert, you will need the following ingredients:
Spread 1 tablespoon of butter, evenly, over both sides of the 4 cake slices.
Toast the buttered pound cakes in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 15-30 seconds until golden brown.
Transfer toasted cake slices to serving plates and spread spoonfuls of vanilla yogurt over the top. Place an apricot half in the center of the yogurt to look like a sunny-side-up fried egg.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
