50 g Capers
50 g Olives green, sliced
1 Lemon juiced
50 g Parmesan cheese grated
15 g Parsley chopped
1 tbsp Olive oil

2 tbsp Olive oil
100 g Breadcrumbs
1 tsp Chili flakes
2 cloves Garlic minced
10 g Parsley chopped

Tuna spaghetti with capers, green olives, some lemon juice, Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley and topped with pangrattato which is a crispy, spicy, garlic-y breadcrumb that adds a crunchy texture to this dish.

Steps to make 15 Minute Tuna Pasta with Pangrattato

Cook spaghetti

In a large saucepan of boiling water, cook 1 package of spaghetti according to packet instructions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta cooking water then drain and set aside.

Combine tuna mix

In a large bowl, combine 200 g of canned tuna, 50 g of capers, 50 g of green olives, the juice from 1 lemon, 50 g of grated Parmesan cheese and 15 g of freshly chopped parsley and mix well.

Prepare pangrattato

In a frying pan over medium-high heat, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and add 100 g of fresh breadcrumbs, 1 teaspoon of chili flakes and a large pinch of salt. Sauté for 5 minutes.

Add garlic

Add 2 cloves of minced garlic and cook for one more minute until fragrant.

Add parsley

Remove from the heat and add 10g of freshly chopped parsley. Stir to mix through.

Combine pasta and tuna mixture

Add tuna mixture to the cooked pasta along with the reserved ½ cup of cooking water and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Toss everything to coat well in the sauce and fillings.

Serve

Serve your tuna spaghetti with homemade Pangrattato sprinkled over the top.
