Is this April Fool’s Cake an April Fool’s joke? Yes, it actually is! Fool everyone with this savory, pizza-like dinner that looks like a frosted cake. A tomato pizza sauce base, combined with Italian sausage and pepperoni slices under a thick, creamy batter-like sauce over and topped layers of melted mozzarella cheese. Works wonderfully as a last minute dinner for the kids, too!
To make April Fool’s Cake, you will need the following ingredients:
Preheat the oven to 375 °F.
In a bowl, combine 1 jar of pizza sauce, ½ pound of crumbled Italian sausage and 1 package of pepperoni slices.
In a different bowl, whisk 3 cups of biscuit or baking mix, ¾ cup of milk, 2 large eggs, 2 tablespoons of melted butter and 1 teaspoon of garlic salt until combined.
Grease the bottom and up the sides of a 10-inch fluted tube pan.
Layer half the batter over the base of the prepared baking pan and fill with the meat mixture, then finally top with the remaining half of the batter.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes until browned and a wooden toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and invert the "cake" on a lined baking sheet. Top “cake” with cheese slices arranged all over.
Return to the heated oven and bake for another 5 minutes until cheese has melted and is dripping down the sides.
Serve immediately and enjoy!

It kept falling apart for me..not sure if I did something wrong but I followed the recipe. It does taste really delicious though, just kinda sad that it didn't look quite right.
