This is a moreish Bavarian Mint Fudge recipe which makes a delicious sweet treat or homemade gift. This is one of my family’s oldest and most treasured recipes. It has been loved through the generations and now I am passing it on to you. I make batches of this every Christmas and bring it to friends homes when I visit them. Everyone loves it!
This minty flavored chocolate fudge couldn’t be easier to make. Simply melt chocolate and butter in the microwave. When it’s fully melted, stir in the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla and peppermint extracts and spread into a prepared pan. The hardest part is waiting for the fudge to set!
To make Bavarian Mint Fudge, you will need the following ingredients:
Line an 11x7 inch pan with foil. Grease the foil with 1½ teaspoons of butter and set to one side.
Melt chopped chocolate with the tablespoon of butter in a microwave or over a pot of simmering water. Stir until smooth.
Add the sweetened condensed milk and peppermint and vanilla extracts and stir until blended.
Pour the mint chocolate fudge mixture into the pan and spread evenly.
Chill in the refrigerator until the fudge has set.
Carefully lift the fudge out of the pan by holding the edges of the foil. Discard the foil and slice the fudge into 1 inch squares.
Store in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve.
I like to save empty jars throughout the year and I use them to gift this fudge to friends and family.
This Bavarian Mint Fudge makes a perfect holiday gift for friends! Make it for someone soon and tag #cookmerecipes in your sweet posts!
