Recipe Description

This Golden Sweet Cornbread is my family’s favorite. You can make it into a bread for breakfast or a cake for dessert. Serve it hot with butter, jam, or honey. This recipe produces the perfect cornbread. It has a delicious corn flavor with a moist texture and a crunchy crust. I use cornmeal which is dried and ground corn. Cornmeal can be found in the baking aisle of most grocery stores.

The best thing about this cornbread is how quick and easy it is to make – by the time your oven has preheated, the ingredients are mixed and your cornbread is ready to be placed in the oven! I simply combine the dry ingredients. Then I add the wet ingredients and mix well. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes and hey presto for a tasty sweet bread!
