Halloween Ghost Strawberries are such a fun recipe to make! Indulge your sweet tooth in a healthy way and get the kids decorating these cute ghost strawberries! This Halloween treat won’t take hours in the kitchen, and you will need only three ingredients to whip it up.
Before you start, make sure the strawberries are washed and thoroughly patted dry. Then, melt white chocolate chips. I find that the easiest way to melt white chocolate is to heat it in the microwave. Heat the chocolate at 50% power, stirring every 30 seconds, until it is smooth and fluid. Next, dip the strawberries in melted chocolate, lay on the baking sheet, and let them rest until the chocolate has set. Now, melt the semi-sweet chocolate and pipe funny faces on strawberries. Boo-tiful!
To make the Halloween Ghost Strawberries, you will need the following ingredients:
Line a baking sheet with waxed paper or parchment paper.
In a microwave-safe bowl, heat 8 ounces of white chocolate, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth and fluid. If using white chocolate chips that can be stiff when melting, you can thin the chocolate with a spoonful of shortening or coconut oil.
Holding a dry strawberry by the stem, dip it in the chocolate. Hold the strawberry over the bowl and allow the excess to drip back, then scrape the bottom of the strawberry against the lip of the bowl. Place on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat until all of the strawberries are covered.
Place in the fridge until the chocolate is set, about 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Pour the melted semi-sweet chocolate into a plastic bag and cut off a tiny hole in the corner. Decorate the strawberries and allow the chocolate to set completely before serving.
These strawberries are best eaten the day they are made. Refrigerate until serving time.
