This Hasselback Pizza Bread is one of my kid’s favorite Saturday night dinners. And I love it too because it’s quick and easy to make and healthier than pizza take out. I like to know what has gone into my kid’s food so it’s easier to just make my own.
This pizza bread gets its name from the hasselback style – you know the one, the potatoes which are sliced but not cut through so you get a concertina effect. For this pizza bread, start by cutting vertical slits in a baguette, stopping just before you cut right through the bread so that the slices stay connected at the bottom. Put pizza sauce and cheese in between each slice and add a pepperoni and basil leaf to each one. Bake in the oven until the cheese melts!
