I’m sharing a quick and easy Pan-Fried Tilapia Fillets recipe with you, one that you can easily remember and make over and over again. Sometimes it’s good to go back to basics and serve up something that tastes amazing on its own, cooked in a simple way that will really bring out the flavor.
That’s my approach with this pan seared tilapia recipe, which uses just a couple of ingredients to get the perfect fried tilapia fillet. Key of course is the butter, which seals the fish in a buttery sauce and makes it amazingly succulent and flaky when you come to eat it. This fried tilapia recipe takes under 20 minutes to make, meaning you can have it plated on your dinner table in no time!
To make the Pan-Fried Tilapia Fillets, you will need the following ingredients:
Add the flour to a shallow bowl.
Run the tilapia fillets under cold water to rinse and use paper towels to pat them dry. Sprinkle each fillet with salt and pepper, then dredge them one by one in the bowl of flour, turning to coat each side. Shake to remove the excess flour.
Place a large skillet over a medium-high heat and add the oil.
Once the oil is hot, add the fillets and cook them for about four minutes each side, until golden brown.
Just before removing from the pan, brush each side of the fish with melted butter and serve straight away.
This Pan-Fried Tilapia Fillets is my ultimate recipe for fried tilapia, letting the fish be the star of the show! If you try this tilapia recipe let me know how you find it - share your cooking experience by tagging #cookmerecipes.
Simplicity at its best. My wife loved this dish. We made it for our anniversary dinner and it turned out perfect. The butter really brings out the flavors.
Superb taste, wow!
