This Strawberry Cordial Jam, is a classical strawberry cordial dessert recipe and it works just brilliantly to end off a high class dinner party. I love to add a hint of liquor to bring back that bootlegging, 1920s feel to the room.
This recipe is super easy to follow, stir all the ingredients together, bring them to a boil, and then allow to simmer, until mixture reduces. Serve it cool, in your glass small trifle bowls or special crystal shot glasses. This one is a royal treat!
To make Strawberry Cordial Jam, you will need the following ingredients:
In a medium saucepan, over a high heat, combine the strawberries, creme de cassis, sugar, water, cinnamon and cardamom and bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat, and let simmer for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until reduced to 2 cups.
Allow to cool completely and chill for 8 hours, covered, before serving. You can also pour the jam into the jar with a tight-fitting lid and store for 3 days in the refrigerator.
