    Asian Salmon in Foil is my go to recipe when I am craving a healthy meal which is packed full of the flavors of my mother’s home cooking. As the smell of soy sauce, rice vinegar and sesame oil fill my kitchen, I am transported to my mother’s kitchen where I used to help her prep our family meals. This salmon is a take on one of her beloved recipes. 

    It couldn’t be easier to make this salmon dish. Simply whip up a marinade mixture of honey, garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, Sriracha and pepper. Place the fish on a foil sheet and gather the sides. Pour the mixture over the fish and seal the edges of the foil package. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes until you have perfectly cooked fish.

    Steps to make Asian Salmon in Foil

    Heat the oven and prepare a baking sheet

    Preheat the oven to 375 °F and place a sheet of foil on a baking sheet.

    Prepare flavor mixture

    In a small bowl, mix honey, garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, Sriracha and pepper together using a whisk.

    Prepare the foil package

    Place the salmon onto the foil sheet and gather up all 4 sides to create a package.

    Pour the sauce over the salmon

    Pour the honey mixture over the salmon. Seal the foil package by folding the foil sides over each other.

    Place the salmon in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.

    For the last 2-3 minutes of cooking time, open the foil package and broil the salmon to create a slightly charred surface.

    Serve

    Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds and serve with steamed white rice or Asian greens.
