Ingredients

1 bottle Red wine light-bodied Spanish (I used Rioja.)
2 cups Apple cider
½ cup Brandy pear or apple
¼ cup Cinnamon simple syrup
1 Apples honeycrisp , cored and chopped
1 Pears green , cored and chopped
½ Oranges quartered and sliced
½ cup Seeds from 1 Pomegranate
3 - 4 Cinnamon stick
For the simple cinnamon syrup:
1 cup Water
1 cup Sugar
6 Cinnamon stick

In a saucepan, over high heat, bring water and sugar to a boil and cook until the sugar dissolves and the liquid just starts to thicken.

Add cinnamon sticks and chill

Transfer syrup to a heat proof container, add the cinnamon sticks, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, to chill.

Prepare sangria

In a large pitcher, stir the wine, apple cider, brandy, prepared cinnamon syrup, apples, pears, oranges, pomegranate seeds and cinnamon sticks, to mix.

Refrigerate

Refrigerate for at least 4 hours to overnight.

Serve chilled.
