And of course, no Halloween would be the same without these Boo! Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars. I use honey and real maple syrup instead of sugar, melted with peanut spread and mixed with corn flake cereal pieces for a chewy base. Next, use melted dark and white chocolate for the topping and follow the steps to create spooky, ghost designs on each bar.
To make Boo! Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars, you will need the following ingredients:
Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with baking parchment paper.
In a microwaveable bowl, melt honey, maple syrup and peanut butter for about 30 seconds - 1 minute, until smooth.
Add corn flakes and stir to combine well. Spread mixture evenly into the baking pan, packed tightly.
Melt dark chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips and pour over the corn flake mixture in an even layer.
Melt white chocolate and spoon a small teaspoon dollop on top of the dark chocolate, about 1-inch apart from each other. Using a wooden skewer or the end of a skinny spoon, gently drag the white chocolate into the shape of a ghost.
Add 2 sprinkles or additional melted dark chocolate, on each ghost, for the eyes.
Place in the refrigerator for about 1 hour to chill and set.
Use a sharp knife, cut around the ghosts and create irregular shapes. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
