To make Easy Soft Flatbread Recipe (No Yeast), you will need the following ingredients:
On the stove top or in the microwave, melt 3½ tablespoons of butter and ¾ cup of milk until heated.
Add 2 cups of flour and ½ teaspoon of salt and mix until well combined.
Turn out the dough onto a lightly floured surface and use your hands to knead for a few minutes until smooth. If too sticky, add a little more flour as necessary.
Wrap dough in plastic wrap and set aside for about 25 minutes to rest.
Once rested, separate the dough into 4 equal pieces on a lightly floured surface and roll into about ⅛-inch circular rounds.
In a heavy based skillet over medium heat, heat ½ tablespoon of olive oil and one by one, cook each flatbread for about 1½ minutes one on one side, until bubbling up, then flip and cook the other side until lightly golden spots begin to show. Wrap in a tea towel and stack cooked breads on top of each other to keep the moisture in and soften the breads.
Brush with olive oil, melted butter or garlic butter for serving, if you wish!
