    Mongolian Glazed Wings

    Share

Mongolian Glazed Wings has become one of my favorite chicken wing recipes to make and eat! Mongolian cuisine isn’t one that I often think about. However, on a trip to Dublin a few years ago, I ate in a Mongolian Barbecue restaurant. Their wings were sweet and sticky, yet slightly spicy. This is my take on those delicious wings!

Start by baking the wings in the oven. As the wings cook, make a sauce using soy sauce, honey, rice wine vinegar, Sriracha, garlic, and ginger. Once the wings are cooked, place them in a large bowl and toss with the sauce until fully coated. Serve garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

To make Mongolian Glazed Wings, you will need the following ingredients:

Steps to make Mongolian Glazed Wings

    1

    Heat oven

    5

Preheat the oven to 425 °F. Place a metal rack on a large baking sheet.

    2

    Cook the wings

    50

Season the wings with salt and pepper. Place the wings on the wire rack and bake until the skin is crispy, about 50 minutes.

    3

    Make a sauce

    2

While the wings are cooking, combine ¼ cup of soy sauce, ¼ cup of honey, 2 tablespoons of rice wine vinegar, 1 tablespoon of Sriracha, 3 minced cloves of garlic and 1 tablespoon of grated fresh ginger in a small saucepan.

    4

    Simmer sauce

    10

Heat to a simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes, until the sauce reduces slightly.

    5

Coat the wings with the sauce

    2

Place the baked wings in a large bowl and toss with the sauce.

    6

    Broil wings

    10

Return the wings to the metal rack and cook under the broiler until the skin is crisp and caramelized.

    7

    Serve

Serve these wings garnished with green onion and sesame seeds.

Took me a while to get a hang of cooking chicken wings because i always end up asking my hubby because i burn them or they taste very plain. The steps here helped me so much and i cooked them to perfection.

I used the outside grill to make these and tossed them on top of some mashed potatoes.

Burnt mine on the bottom sadly but since they were still edible i did eat them, i'll try to remake them though with less time in the oven.

Baked these for 30 minutes instead because my oven gets super hot, they were brilliant.

Had this with some rice and dropped a bit of hot sauce on the top of it for a kick. Tasty 5 star meal you can make yourself, worth it.

Would recommend this to those who really love Asian food, the chicken is so flavorful and there's no need to add anything more to it.
