This Tomato Basil Penne Pasta is made in about 15 minutes and uses simple ingredients. It doesn’t get easier than that! A deliciously flavorful tomato sauce loaded with cheese and tossed with hot penne. This dinner is always a favorite with our family. Best for nights when you are pressed for time or feeling lazy.  

Once you have the pasta boiling, get to work on the tomato basil sauce. The sauce consists of garlic, fresh grape tomatoes, fresh basil, olive oil, and lots of cheese. So simple yet so delicious! Once the cheese starts to melt, stir in the hot pasta. Top with fresh basil and serve the pasta up immediately while still hot. What could be better than a pasta dinner recipe?

    Cook pasta

    Bring a large pot of water to a boil over high heat. Add in 1 package penne pasta and cook until al dente for about 11 minutes, then drain.

    Meanwhile, heat 1 tablespoon each of basil oil and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 3 minced garlic cloves and cook until soft.

    Add 1 pint of halved grape tomatoes and reduce heat to medium. Simmer for 10 minutes.
