Melt chocolate

In a medium glass bowl, break up baking chocolate and dark chocolate into pieces with a tablespoon of water. Melt in the microwave for 1½ minutes. Stir chocolate and if not melted, microwave for a further 30 seconds. Repeat until completely melted.

Add the vegetable shortening

Add vegetable shortening immediately and stir until shortening combined.

Add puffed rice and nuts

Add puffed rice and almonds or hazelnuts and stir to mix through evenly.

Mold chocolate

Pour chocolate mixture into a 5x7-inch rectangular mold. Silicone works best.

Refrigerate

Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours to set.

Slice

Once set, turn out onto a plate and slice into ¼-inch thick pieces
