3 cups + 2 tbsp All-purpose flour plus more for hands
2 tsp Coarse salt
½ tsp Instant yeast
¾ cup chopped Pecans or walnuts
¾ cup dried Cranberries
1 tbsp Honey
1 and ½ cups warm Water about 95°F

I love making this Crusty Cranberry Nut No Knead Bread because just like the title suggests, it doesn’t require any kneading. Any bread that I don’t have to knead is a winner in my book!

This bread loaf is so simple to make! Simply mix all of the ingredients together. Roll the dough into a ball and leave it at room temperature to prove for 12-18 hours. Slice a cross on top of the dough and bake it in a Dutch oven for 30-35 minutes. And that’s it! Simple yet super delicious!

Steps to make Crusty Cranberry Nut No Knead Bread


Make the dough


Mix the flour, salt, yeast, nuts, cranberries and honey in a large bowl. Mix in the water until you have a sticky dough. Shape into a ball. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and leave at room temperature for 12-18 hours.


Place on parchment paper


Remove the dough from the bowl and place on a lightly floured work surface. Dust your hands with flour and shape the dough into a ball as best you can. Transfer dough to a large piece of parchment paper.


Score the dough


Score a cross into the top of the dough using a sharp knife. Cover dough again with plastic wrap and leave to rise for 30 minutes.


Heat the oven with the Dutch oven inside


Preheat the oven to 475 °F. Place the Dutch oven in the oven to heat for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, take the Dutch oven from the main oven. Transfer the dough into the Dutch oven by placing it all– parchment paper included– inside the pot. Cover with the lid.

Bake with the lid on for 25 minutes. Remove the lid and continue to bake for 8-10 minutes until the loaf is a golden brown color. Remove pot from the oven, carefully remove the bread from the pot. Place on a wire rack and allow to cool for 30 minutes.



Serve with butter and jam or your favorite cheeses.
