What a fun recipe this Ham & Cheese Panini Waffle is! It is a new take on grilled cheese sandwiches that my kids adore! Have you ever thought of using a waffle iron to cook grilled cheese sandwiches? Try it out – you won’t go back! These paninis are great for lunch or breakfast and they are a great way to include my kids in the kitchen.
Start by heating your waffle iron. Place a slice of bread in the waffle iron and top with scrambled eggs, chives, ham and provolone cheese. Top with a second slice of bread and close the waffle iron. Cook until the cheese has melted and the bread is golden brown. Yum!
To make Ham & Cheese Panini Waffle, you will need the following ingredients:
Grease and preheat your waffle iron.
Place a slice of bread on the waffle iron.
Place some scrambled egg on the bread and spread it using the back of a spoon.
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of freshly chopped chives over the eggs.
Place two slices of ham on top, followed by three slices of cheese.
Top the sandwich off with the second slice of bread.
Close the waffle iron and cook the sandwich for about 3-5 minutes, until the cheese melts and the bread is golden brown.
Serve warm.
