One-Pot Meatballs with Spaghetti

Share

This One-Pot Meatballs with Spaghetti recipe is an adapted version of my Juicy Beef Meatballs recipe, with the main difference being that you cook everything all together in one big pan. What’s the advantage? (Apart from obviously saving on washing up!) Well by cooking the pasta in the beefy, tomato sauce of the meatballs, it soaks up all that amazing flavor as it cooks.

When you come to serve it’s not only the meatballs that taste amazing but the pasta too! Cooking in one pan also makes this a really quick and easy method, so it’s the ultimate spaghetti meatballs recipe in my eyes!

So, how to make One-Pot Meatballs with Spaghetti Recipe?

Steps to make One-Pot Meatballs with Spaghetti

1

Make the meatballs

5

Add the minced beef, egg, parmesan, half the chopped onion and breadcrumbs to a large bowl and season with salt and pepper. With clean hands, combine everything together in the bowl. One at a time, take a lump of the mixture and shape into a ball, until you have 16 meatballs. Lay them on a plate.

2

Fry the meatballs

5

Melt the butter in a large skillet over a medium-high heat. Add the meatballs and cook for 5-6 minutes, turning every so often so that they are browned all over.

3

Cook the onions and garlic

2

Put the remaining chopped onions in the pan, with the celery and garlic and cook for 3-4 minutes until the onions become translucent.

4

Add the rest of the ingredients

2

Add the tomatoes, tomato puree, sugar, thyme and boiled water to the pan and stir everything together. Bring the mixture to the boil and finally add the pasta.

5

Cook the pasta

15

Reduce the heat, cover the skillet and leave to cook for 10-12 minutes until the pasta is cooked. Stir every now and again and if the sauce looks like it is becoming dry, add a little more boiling water.

Serving One-Pot Meatballs with Spaghetti
