To make Pork Chops with Sautéed Apples and Caramelized Onions, you will need the following ingredients:
Preheat the oven to 400 °F.
Place 1 tablespoon of the butter and 2 tablespoons of the oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add 2 sliced onions and cook slowly while stirring occasionally, until they are soft and translucent. Continue cooking until the onions are browned. Add ½ a teaspoon of salt and ¼ teaspoon of pepper and set to one side.
Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in the same skillet over medium-high heat. Add the apple wedges and cook until lightly browned on one side. Turn the wedges over and continue to cook until browned. Remove from the heat and keep warm.
Combine 1 tablespoon of coriander seed, 1 teaspoon of ground cumin, 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard and 2 tablespoons of honey in a small bowl with the remaining salt and pepper. Spread the mixture over the pork chops.
Heat the remaining vegetable oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops on each side for 2 minutes.
