Chicken Gyros with Tzatziki

This Chicken Gyros with Tzatziki is an easy and delicious way to enjoy Mediterranean flavors at home. Bite-sized pieces of chicken breast flavored with Greek-inspired herbs and spices and then pan-seared along with onions. Topped with homemade tzatziki sauce and stuffed inside fresh pita or naan, it makes for a fast and comforting weeknight dinner the whole family will enjoy.

Start out by marinating the chicken in a mix of dried herbs, grated onion, caraway seeds, sweet paprika, olive oil, and a pinch each of salt and black pepper. Set aside while making the tzatziki. For the tzatziki, grate a cucumber and squeeze out any excess water. Combine the Greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic, and dill in a medium bowl and season with salt and black pepper. Set aside for the flavors to mingle. Meanwhile, heat the remaining olive oil in a large skillet and cook the onions for 3 minutes. Next, add the marinated chicken and cook until no longer raw. Serve the chicken gyros right away, topped with tzatziki sauce, and enjoy!
