Add the gnocchi and cashew sauce to the kale and stir well. Serve immediately.

To prepare for cooking the gnocchi, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat.
Heat the oil in a large pan. Add the garlic and sauté over medium heat, stirring constantly for about 2 minutes.
Add the kale and ground black pepper to taste. Add chili flakes now if using. Sauté for 5 more minutes, stirring frequently.
As the kale is cooking, place the cashews in a food processor or blender with water and salt. Blend until completely smooth.
Once the gnocchi start to float, use a slotted spoon to remove them (retain the water in the pot). Add the gnocchi into the pan with the kale and garlic.
Pour the cashew sauce into the pan. Stir well to combine everything. Add a little gnocchi water to thin the sauce if required. Taste and add more seasoning to taste.
Serve immediately with a fresh grind of black pepper.
