To make these Gluten-Free Almond Flour Brownies, you will need the following ingredients:
Preheat the oven to 350 ºF and set a rack in the center of the oven. Line an 8 x 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang.
Melt ½ cup unsalted butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Once the butter is almost melted, add 8 ounces semi-sweet baking chocolate and melt entirely. Whisk until combined. Set aside to cool for about 5 minutes.
In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter and chocolate mixture and ¾ cup granulated sugar and whisk to combine.
Add 3 eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition.
Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Fold in 1 cup almond flour, 3 tablespoons Dutch-processed cocoa, ½ teaspoon baking powder and ¼ teaspoon salt until just combined. Don’t overmix.
Fold in ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Spread the batter into the prepared baking pan. Top with extra chocolate chips if you wish.
Bake the brownies for 28 minutes or until the top looks set and a skewer inserted in the center comes out with a bit of chocolate batter. Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan on a wire rack.
Cut the brownies into squares, serve, and enjoy.
