Recipe Description

Have you heard of Fruit Leather? In simple terms, fruit leather is simply a dried fruit roll up. Taking about 3 days to make, but guaranteed better than store bought mass produced roll ups.

Made from fresh and ripe apricots combined with sugar water, blended and combined then left to dry out over a 2-3 day period. I believe homemade is always the best way and I love trying new recipes!

    Use a food processor to blend 7 pounds of apricots until a smooth puree forms. Use about 6 cups of apricots for ¼ cup of water and gradually add just enough water add needed. You don’t want it to be too watery and repeat until all fruit is used and blended. Add sugar as needed, too.

    Pour a thin layer of the puréed fruit, about ⅛ -¼ - inch thick.

    Leave in the sunshine to dry out. Bring inside overnight and repeat for 2-3 days.
