Add 8 ounces of sausage and cook until evenly browned. Stir often to break up meat. Add 2 minced cloves of garlic and continue to cook while stirring for 1 minute. Drain any fat from the skillet and set the mixture aside to cool to room temperature.

Roll out pastry sheet

4

Dust a work surface with flour. Unroll 1 sheet of pastry on the work surface. Cut along the fold lines of the pastry sheet to make 3 rectangles. Cut each rectangle crosswise into 3 squares, so that you have 9 in total. Repeat with the remaining pastry sheet.

5

Place filling on pastry squares

3

Spoon 1 tablespoon of the sausage filling onto the center of each pastry square.

6

Brush edges with egg wash

2

Brush the edges of each pastry square with the water and egg mixture.
