Recipe Description

    Place the yeast and milk in the bowl of a stand mixer with the paddle attachment. Mix well and allow to rest for 5 minutes. Add the flour and sugar mix using the paddle attachment until you have a smooth batter.

    Attach the dough hook to your mixer and add the flour, salt and eggs. Once the dough forms, knead it with the dough hook for about 4 minutes. Then add the butter, gradually (2 tablespoons at a time). Continue kneading with the dough hook, scraping the bowl occasionally for about 5 minutes until the dough looks smooth and shiny.

    Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Leave to rise. After about 1 ½ hours, knock the dough back. Cover again and leave to rise for another 45 minutes.

    Divide the dough into 12 equal balls. Shape them into buns by pressing the balls down to make thick disks. Arrange the buns on the baking sheet. Cover with a light towel and leave them in a warm place for about 20 minutes.
