Start off your Halloween morning in the spirit of the celebration with these Monster Eyes Deviled Eggs. Make your creations look like the real deal with “painted” red food coloring lines onto the white part of the egg to imitate vain-like, bloodshot eyes and place an olive slice on top of the avocado filling for the pupil of the eye.
Your table should almost be set with all our recipes!
To make Monster Eyes Deviled Eggs, you will need the following ingredients:
Peel eggs and cut in half, lengthwise then scoop out the center yolks.
In a mixing bowl, mash the egg yolk, avocado and lemon juice together. You can also use a food processor, until smooth. For a more creamy filling, add 1 teaspoon of mayonnaise. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Spoon the avocado filling to the center of the eggs with a sliced black olive for the “eye.”
Using a tiny bit of red food coloring and a toothpick, paint the “red bloodshot” part of the eyes onto the eggs.
Store for up to 6 hours in the refrigerator or until ready to serve.
We are so excited to see your Monster Eyes Deviled Eggs and we suggest getting your whole family involved in this activity. This recipe serves up a lot, so you’ll need all the help you can get! Try them and tag #cookmerecipes online, when you do!
