Vegan Chocolate Orange Waffles

These Vegan Chocolate Orange Waffles are a great opportunity to break out your waffle iron on the weekends! Soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, the whole family will love these decadent treats. I use oat milk when I make these but feel free to use any non-dairy milk you prefer.

To make these tasty waffles, start by preheating your waffle iron. Sift together instant oats, almond flour, cacao powder, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add milk, maple syrup, orange zest, and vanilla if using. Mix well, then fold into the dry ingredients and continue to mix the batter until no large clumps remain. Cook waffle batter in the preheated waffle iron. Once cooked to your liking, carefully remove them from the waffle iron with a rubber spatula and transfer to a cooling rack. Repeat until all the batter is used up. Serve the waffles warm with toppings as desired.
