The secret to Easy Classic No Knead Bread is to use a few ingredients and when I say few, I mean it’s literally all-purpose flour, salt, instant yeast and some water. The instant yeast works as an acting agent to help the bread rise, which because we skip the kneading process, takes approximately 18 hours. This bread, once baked in a hot pan, in a heated oven, comes out crispy on the outside with a soft and fluffy center, and it tastes so good!
To make Easy Classic No Knead Bread, you will need the following ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk 3 cups of flour, 1½ teaspoons of salt, and ½ teaspoon of instant yeast until combined.
Pour in 1½ cups of water and stir until mixed into a thick and chunky dough. Form the wet and sticky dough into a ball shape, adding more water or flour if needed.
Cover with plastic wrap or wet kitchen towel and set aside for 12-18 hours to rise.
Cut a piece of parchment paper large enough to fit your Dutch oven and set aside.
Place a 4 to 6-quart Dutch oven with a lid on in the cold oven. Preheat the oven to 450 °F.
Scrape the dough from the bowl, roughly shape into a ball and place on lightly floured piece of parchment paper. Once the Dutch oven is hot, carefully place the baking parchment paper with the dough inside the hot pot and sprinkle a bit of flour over the top. Cover with the lid, return to the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes then remove the lid and bake, uncovered, for another 10-15 minutes until crispy and golden brown on the outside.
Remove the loaf from Dutch oven and cool completely on a wire rack.
Serve and enjoy!
