I love hosting parties and you can bet these Frozen Sangria Fruit Cups make for the perfect ice breaker. Served to guests on arrival, these fruit cups look like mini frozen fruit cupcakes made from a combination of dry red wine, lemon juice and orange liqueur. I add small pieces of fresh, crisp apple, green grapes and strawberries for texture and flavor.
To make Frozen Sangria Fruit Cups, you will need the following ingredients:
In a large measuring cup, mix 2 cups of red wine, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, and 2 tablespoons of orange liqueur until combined.
In a medium mixing bowl, toss small pieces from 1 chopped honeycrisp apple with 14 chopped green grapes and 6 chopped strawberries until combined.
Line a 12-cup muffin tray with some aluminum foil or silicone cupcake liners.
Divide the prepared fruit combination between the 12 muffin cups and pour even amounts of the liquid sangria over the top.
Freeze for about 1-2 hours until the cups have frozen solid.
Remove from the muffin tray and serve frozen. Enjoy!
