Golden Goddess (Turmeric) Hummus

Share

This Golden Goddess (Turmeric) Hummus is one of the most delicious hummus recipes I have. It is golden thanks to the addition of turmeric and it is packed full of delicious flavors like garlic, ginger and lemon juice. Turmeric and ginger are anti-inflammatory spices meaning this hummus not only tastes delicious, but it is really good for your body too!

To make this hummus, start by blending canned chickpeas, lemon juice, tahini, garlic, ginger, fresh turmeric, ground turmeric, salt, and cayenne using a food processor or blender. If you’d like a creamier texture, add a bit more oil or water. Taste the hummus and adjust the flavor if necessary. Add a bit more garlic or ginger to give it more spice. Add a little lemon juice to make it more acidic or salt for saltiness. Grated or ground turmeric will add an earthy flavor or cayenne will add a bit more heat. Serve the hummus garnished with pine nuts, sesame seeds, or more spices. Or simply serve it as it is. Leftovers can be covered and placed in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
